Original story:

(March 23, 2016)-- Griffith High School's boys basketball team has returned to the court after a bus carrying the team crashed over the weekend.

Saturday afternoon, the team was traveling on I-65 in Jasper County to a state semifinal game in Lafayette when their bus rolled over. It landed on the side of the roadway and part of its roof was smashed in.

Investigators said a woman who spilled her drink sideswiped the bus, causing Saturday’s crash. State police said injuries suffered in the crash were non-life-threatening, although one coach was airlifted to University of Chicago Hospital.

The game between the Griffith Panthers and Marion Giants tipped off at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

WGN-TV reports that after the crash, the team practiced once on Tuesday before their big game.
