INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 22, 2016)– Police say an autopsy revealed that a man did not die in a car crash as originally thought. They’re now investigating the death as a homicide.

Eddie Lee Stringer, 59, was found dead in a car on March 14 on the west side of Indianapolis. The car was found around 10 a.m. in the 3600 block of West Cossell Road.

Police believed at the time Stringer died due to the crash. His autopsy determined otherwise and the Marion County Coroner ruled his death a homicide.

Anyone with information on Stringer’s murder is asked to call IMPD Homicide at (317) 327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at (317) 262- TIPS (8477).
