INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 21, 2016) – Howard County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Jordan Buckley was released from Methodist Hospital Monday afternoon. Buckley will be riding along in the police procession to bring the body of fallen Deputy Carl Koontz home to Kokomo.

Buckley was shot in the upper thigh during a shootout with wanted suspect Evan Dorsey while serving an arrest warrant early Sunday morning.

Buckley was first transported to Howard Community Hospital, but then he was transferred to Methodist. The same incident claimed the life of Koontz.

In a news conference earlier today, Sheriff Steve Rogers said “we are ready to bring Jordan home.”

Buckley was just recently promoted to sergeant last week.
