Traffic stops on I-65 lead to arrests for drug possession and counterfeit money

SEYMOUR, Ind. (March 17, 2016) – Two separate traffic stops on I-65 yielded charges for drug possession and counterfeit money on Wednesday.

State police stopped Justin Callaway, 24, around 2 p.m. Troopers say they found around 30 Grams of marijuana and $2,200 in counterfeit bills in his car. Callaway was taken to the Jackson County Jail where he faces charges of counterfeiting, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana with a prior and driving while suspended with a prior.

During the second stop, made around 6:00 p.m., troopers say they found marijuana, digital scales and a suspected legend drug. The driver, Sean Jones, 21, was charged with possession of a legend drug and possession of marijuana. Jones was sent to the Jackson County Jail.

Jones’ passenger, James Warren, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana. He was cited and released from the scene.
