(March 15, 2016) – A soft drink known for its Kentucky roots is now about to get a much larger audience.

Ale-8-One will be available at Cracker Barrel stores nationwide. A Kentucky staple, the ginger and citrus flavored soda first hit the market in 1926. It’s been bottled in Winchester, Ky., since 1926. The company said it’s the only soft drink invented in Kentucky that’s still in existence.

Company officials said pairing Ale-8-One with Cracker Barrel is a perfect match.

“Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores are unique and genuinely reminiscent of simpler times, making their outlets perfect venues to feature our 90-year-old, family-crafted soft drink,” said Ellen McGeeney, president and COO of Ale-8-One.

Cracker Barrel has more than 600 locations in 42 states.
