Indianapolis police search for gunman after person shot on near northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 15, 2016) – Police are searching for a gunman after a person was shot on the near northeast side of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred just after 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of East 30th Street and Baltimore Avenue.

Police say the suspect fled in a black Chevy Cavalier with heavily tinted windows, and the driver was headed northbound on Baltimore Avenue.
