Crews battle large house fire in Carmel; family of 6 escapes

CARMEL, Ind. (March 9, 2016) – Firefighters are on the scene of a fully-involved house fire in Carmel.

Fire crews responded to a call for help around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When they arrived on scene, firefighters found the home fully engulfed in flames with fire visible from the roof.

Eight crews were called in to help extinguish the flames. Firefighters said a family of six was inside the home but made it out safely.

At this point, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
