Illinois junior high school teacher arrested, accused of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl

JOLIET, Ill. (March 8, 2016) – An Illinois junior high school teacher is accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old student.

Kyle Camp was arrested last week after a sister of the victim’s friend told school officials, according to WGN. Camp, who's from Minooka, taught social studies at Dirksen Junior High in Joliet. He also coached soccer and basketball.

The 36-year-old is currently on paid administrative leave. Authorities are trying to determine if he may have targeted other students.

Camp was being held on $1 million bond.
