INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (March 6, 2016) - Colts fans are reacting to Peyton Manning’s retirement announcement.

When word got out Sunday, fans who were out enjoying the spring-like weather had a cloud appear overhead learning that number 18 is leaving the game.

Just a little more than a month ago, with Manning at the helm, the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50. It was Manning’s second; he won his first with Indy in 2007.

Fans say they will remember Manning for what he did on and off the field. From the funny commercials and the charity work he continues to do, to the lasting impact he left here in Indianapolis.

“Peyton Manning was awesome for the city and I think him going to the Broncos was great for him. I think he did our city proud and I think most people in our city were voting for the Broncos when they went to the Super Bowl because they love Peyton Manning so much here,” said John Vova from Indianapolis.

“Even though he’s not even in Indianapolis anymore, he’s still here in spirit,” said Kimberly Horne.

“It is sad to see in sports like a great quarterback like him go, because who knows when someone like that’s gonna achieve something like he did," said Lily Del Toro. "I think it’s more like a proud moment he made his impact on the game and he’s going out how he should. I am a Peyton Manning fan- huge Peyton Manning fan and I think I always will be.”

Fans say this may be the last they’ll see No. 18 on the field, but it's not the last they’ll see of Peyton Manning.
