(March 2, 2016) – A North Central High School alumnus is in desperate need of a lifesaving kidney donation.

David Scott, 30, grew up on the northeast side of Indianapolis. He graduated from Harvard Law School, and he’s currently a fourth-year PhD student and instructor in the University of Kentucky Philosophy Department.

But last year, Scott had to put his professional life on hold. On December 17 he was rushed to the hospital where doctors told him he had end-stage renal failure.

Scott is now desperately looking for a live kidney donor, and he’s doing dialysis eight hours per day.

Scott says he wants to have a wife and family, but for now, he’s trying to avoid such thoughts and focus on staying alive.

Scott is sharing his story in light of National Kidney Month. If you would like to learn more about kidney donation, you can visit Scott’s Facebook page “Donor for David.”
