Sheriff: Improvised explosive device detonated near Clinton Central High School overnight

CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (March 1, 2016)– The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the ATF are investigating an improvised explosive device believed to have been detonated overnight.

Police initially responded to a report of property damage on County Road 100 North, along the north side of Clinton Central High School.

A deputy found a potential device that had already been detonated. The investigation is ongoing.

No other devices were found during a sweep of the area. The sheriff’s office says no students or staff were ever in danger.
