Police identify man killed after shooting on northeast side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 1, 2016)– Police say a person was fatally shot Monday night on the northeast side.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police officers responded to the 4000 block of Malibu Drive, near 38th Street and Post Road, just after 10 p.m. Police found Rito Llamas-Juarez, 50, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Police said Llamas-Juarez was originally shot in the 3900 block of Breen Drive and then driven back to the residence on Malibu Drive. IMPD Homicide detectives spoke with several witnesses about the shooting and transported some of them to the IMPD Homicide office for questioning.
