INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 29, 2016) – Their goal is ambitious, but they’re determined to succeed.

Raven and her best friend Alli spent the day outside Sam’s Club on Rockville Road Sunday selling Girl Scout cookies. They’re hoping to sell 4,000 boxes, but another goal is more important. They want to give back to the military and get 1,000 boxes donated to our men and women in uniform.

Raven’s mom is helping them by making posters and assisting them in soliciting donations. In the end, they want to personally deliver the cookies to the military.

This is part of the Girl Scout's “Operation Cookie Drop.” Raven and Alli hope to reach their goal by March 12. They’ll appear at the Kroger at West Washington Street and Lynhurst Drive next weekend (March 5 and March 6).

Last year, Girls Scouts of Central Indiana delivered 7,000 cases of cookies to more than 60 National Guard armories as well as the Army, Marines and Air Force.

Anyone interested in donating can call (317) 938-2012.
