LAFAYETTE, Ind. (February 29, 2016) – An alleged child molester was arrested in Lafayette nearly 13 years after his first crime was alleged.
According to court documents, Luis A. Campos, 41, of Lafayette, was charged last Thursday, February 25, on three counts child molesting. The charges stem from events that occurred between November 2003 and November 2005 in Tippecanoe County.
In November 2014, the victim in the incident presented police with a recording of Campos apologizing for his “inappropriate sexual contact,” according to court documents.
During the time of the alleged crimes, the victim was less than 14-years-old, and Campos was 28, 29, and 30-years-old.
Campos is being held in the Tippecanoe County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
