Man sought after bank robbery in Avon

AVON, Ind. (Feb. 26, 2016)– Avon police are searching for a bank robbery suspect.

On Friday around noon, the suspect entered the PNC bank at 10966 East U.S. 36 and produced a note claiming to be armed. He demanded money from the bank employees.

The suspect fled from the bank on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe the suspect as in this mid-to-late 30s, heavy set, wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, dark shoes and an Indianapolis Colts hat.

The suspect may have been involved in a previous Avon robbery on January 22.

Anyone with information on the suspect should call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
