INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 26, 2016) - Police say one person is dead and three others are injured after a bad crash on the city’s northwest side early Friday morning.

Officers were responded to the intersection of Eagle Creek Parkway and Inland Drive just after midnight on reports of a car accident with someone trapped inside.

Police say two vehicles collided on Eagle Creek Parkway after one crossed the center line. Police say the driver of one vehicle, later identified as Michael Ellis, 57, of Indianapolis, was transported to Methodist where he later passed away.

The three occupants of the other vehicle were transported to Methodist Hospital and Eskanazi Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers say they believe alcohol was a factor in this crash.
