INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 12, 2016) - Valentine’s Day is Sunday, and a weekend of events is planned in downtown Indianapolis to celebrate.
Starting Friday morning, The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra is playing a tribute to the 100th birthday of Frank Sinatra at the Hilbert Circle Theater.
Then, Friday tonight, ladies can head to the Indiana State Museum for the Galantine’s Day event.
Also on Friday night, the Fountain Square Theater Building will offer swing dancing with lessons beforehand.
On Saturday morning, the ‘Be My Valentine’ 5K run/walk kicks off at the Athenaeum with a course through downtown.
Saturday night, the Rathskeller is offering dinner and dancing.
Then, on Valentine’s Day, Babyface will perform at Old National Centre.
“There are some great, romantic restaurants downtown that you can head to,” said Amanda Dorman with Downtown Indy. “Whether you want to go out for a night of dancing or dinner or some live music, there’s something happening on Friday night through Sunday.”
Families have options too, including Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio, which is offering performances all weekend.
