Meth labs found inside Lafayette motel room; 3 people arrested

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Feb. 11, 2016) – Police in Lafayette arrested three people after finding several meth labs inside a motel room.

Officers arrived at Devon Plaza, 2371 N. 26th St., just after midnight Thursday. Investigators discovered two active meth labs and a third in a dormant state. In addition to the meth labs, police also found spice and syringes.

Lafayette police called the Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team for additional help with dismantling the labs. Three people were arrested on multiple charges:

  • Jason Rhode, 37: wanted on warrant, possession of syringe, possession of spice, visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine
  • Christopher Kirtley, 32: possession of syringe, possession of spice, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine
  • Justin Corbett, 34: possession of syringe, possession of spice, visiting a common nuisance, possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine
