Potential for severe weather Tuesday afternoon and evening

You'll want to stay "Weather Aware" today. Severe t-storms will develop later this afternoon and last through this evening. Our primary threat will be damaging wind gusts in excess of 58 mph.  Our severe weather window is from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Any storm prior to 3 p.m. should not reach severe limits. Rain totals will range between 0.5" and 0.75".

Temperatures will be unseasonably warm today with highs near 60. Colder air arrives tomorrow.

We have heavy snow and high winds across much of the plains and Great Lakes falling today. 12-18" is expecting across much of Nebraska & Iowa through Wednesday.
