BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (January 19, 2016) – With two early assists in Indiana’s match up with Illinois, Yogi Ferrell has become the all-time assists leader in Hoosiers’ history.

Ferrell’s first helper came at the 14:38 mark of the first half, handing the ball off to Thomas Bryant at the top of the key. The freshman big man was left wide open, so he fired the long ball and found the bottom of the net.

The Assembly Hall crowd didn’t have to wait long for Ferrell’s second assist, as at the 11:20 mark, the former Park Tudor standout fired a beautiful look-away pass beneath the basket to an open Max Bielfeldt, who calmly finished with a layup.

Those two assists give Ferrell 546 for his career, passing the previous high-mark of 545 set by Michael Lewis.
