Man accused of firing gun at IMPD officers arrested in Detroit

Update (March 23, 2017) — Brown was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday, March 20, 2017.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan . 18, 2016)– Law enforcement sources tell CBS4 a man wanted for a police chase and firing his gun at officers has been arrested in Detroit, Michigan.

Kennic Brown is accused of shooting at officers during a chase on Dec. 22, 2015 on the southeast side of Indianapolis.

One bullet hit a squad car and another bullet went into a wall of a child’s bedroom, narrowly missing the child.

Brown had active warrants for resisting law enforcement, drunk driving, and possession of a controlled substance.

Two women also face charges in connection with the investigation.  Shelby Moors and Sicily Moors have been charged with false reporting, obstruction of justice and assisting a criminal.
