KOKOMO, Ind. (Jan. 12, 2016) – Kokomo police are investigating a pair of armed robberies at area banks.
Around 10:40 a.m. Monday, a man walked into BMO Harris Bank, 2135 N. Washington St., wearing a black ski mask and dark tinted sunglasses. He was armed with a black handgun and demanded cash.
Employees said the man left the store with some money. The suspect was described as 6’0” with a thin build. Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect.
Several hours later, Kokomo police responded to Security Federal Savings Bank, 519 E. Markland Ave., in response to another armed robbery. Police said the armed suspect entered the bank around 4 p.m. and demanded cash.
The suspect was a woman, about 5’3” with a medium build. She wore sunglasses to obscure her identity, police said. The woman left the bank after receiving some cash. As in the first case, surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect.
