Blowing snow and frigid temps through tonight
1-3″ fell across most of Central Indiana overnight into Tuesday AM. For the rest of the afternoon we will be left with temperatures falling through the teens, wind chills below zero and rapidly changing visibility, due to blowing snow and 30-40mph wind gusts. Travel will be tricky through this evening due to the very windy conditions.
The wind will start to diminish overnight and give way to a VERY cold Wednesday. Morning lows will be in the singles across much of the area with wind chills by 7am Wednesday morning between -5 to -15.
A few additional light snow showers will be possible north of I-70 on Wednesday evening. But our weather will become more active on Friday with RAIN and 40 degree temperatures. Colder air behind that system will move in and rain will change to snow with accumulation likely again on Saturday. In wake of an arctic front we’ll likely start off next Monday with lows around 0 and additional snow.
