Single car crash claims life of Frankfort man

Frankfort, Ind. ( January 3, 2016) — A single car crash Sunday morning has claimed the life of a Frankfort man.

According to Sargent Mark Schilling of the Frankfort Police Department, a male traveling southbound on Maish Road in Clinton County shortly before 10 a.m. left the roadway and struck a mailbox. His car then went careening into a utility pole causing it to flip over repeatedly and ejected the driver.

The unidentified 22-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
