Credit card fraud investigation leads to arrest of 4 Chicago-area residents at Indy hotel

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 30, 2015) – Four Chicago-area residents were arrested in Indianapolis in connection with a drug and credit card fraud case, police say.

On Tuesday night, officers from Indiana State Police and Department of Homeland Security Investigations arrived at a hotel at 8325 Bash St. on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Police said Harry Taylor, 58, was wanted on an outstanding warrant and rented out two rooms there.

Police found Taylor in one of the rooms with another man, identified as Victor Reed, 59. Upon further investigation, officers found heroin, a computer, printer and materials used to print counterfeit drivers’ licenses. In another room, officers located Louis Deberry, 48, and Stephanie Watson, 24.

All four were arrested on charges of fraud and maintaining a common nuisance. Taylor faces a charge of possession of heroin and a failure to appear warrant out of Lake County.
