Beautiful Christmas Day! Heavy rain returns for the weekend
It has been another gorgeous day with a mix of sun & clouds and dry conditions. Temperatures will once again be above normal in the lower 50s.
Tonight we have a full moon on Christmas! This is the first time in 38 years it has happened! We should be able to check it out before the clouds move back in after midnight as our next storm system approaches the area.
This weekend will be very soggy with heavy rains and thunderstorms starting Saturday and continuing into Monday.
We are looking at several inches of rain by the time the system exits the region. Up to 5 inches of rain are possible. Localized flooding, especially near rivers and streams will be a concern over the weekend.
Our weather quiets down with colder temperatures returning by the end of the week. Highs will return to near seasonal averages in the mid to upper 30s!
