HANCOCK CO., Ind. (Dec. 24, 2015) — Authorities have arrested three people from Ohio in Hancock County for possessing drugs and fake gift cards.

According to police, on Tuesday a Kroger manager told a trooper he followed a man and woman he suspected of buying gift cards using other gift cards. Police say people often do this when using stolen credit card numbers.

The man and woman went to their car after leaving the store. The trooper smelled marijuana in the car after talking to the driver.

Investigators later found more than 100 fake gift cards and marijuana in the car.

Authorities arrested Jowana Jenkins, Tiara Jones and Kejuan Jenkins on drug and fraud-related charges.
