Police: Yorktown man arrested after driving 115 mph to Steak ‘n Shake while high, intoxicated

MUNCIE, Ind. (Dec. 14, 2015)—Police say a 19-year-old Yorktown teen was driving 115 miles per hour to a Steak ‘n Shake before he was pulled over by an Indiana State Police trooper.

Griffin Davis was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated with a passenger under 18 years of age, operating while intoxicated and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

A trooper pulled Davis over near SR 332 and CR 500 after seeing he was traveling at a high rate of speed around 1:40 a.m. Saturday.  The trooper reported Davis was traveling at 115 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Preliminary investigation revealed Davis was under the influence of marijuana and alcohol, according to state police.

Davis was booked in the Delaware County Jail.
