Blood donors roll-up their sleeves at Bleed Blue Blood Drive

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 12, 2015)—Thousands of Hoosiers donated their time and blood Saturday for the 16th annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The event is sponsored by the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Blood Center.

Some 25-hundred rolled up their sleeves to help the cause.

Andrea Fagan of the Indiana Blood Center said the blood collected will go on hospital shelves and  help cancer patients, people having surgery and victims of trauma.

The Bleed Blue drive is the largest single-day blood collection in the state.
