Indianapolis house fire does $60K in damage

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 12, 2015) — A vacant house fire is now out on the near east side of Indianapolis.

The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Tacoma Avenue.  Fire crews on scene said the house was vacant. They worked an aggressive attack. The fire caused $60,000 in damages.

According to firefighters, there were no working smoke detectors in the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported.
