Motorcyclist dies after crash with semi

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (December 8, 2015) – Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a fatal car accident on State Road 267 at County Road 1000 N, just north of Brownsburg.

Officers were called to the scene at approximately 6:15 PM where they discovered a collision that involved a motorcycle and a semi.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.  The semi driver was not injured.

The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as Christopher L. Kersey, 62, Indianapolis. A preliminary investigation indicated that the semi was northbound on State Road 267 and the motorcycle was eastbound on County Road 1000 N when the collision occurred.

The intersection was closed for almost three hours.

Hendricks County Sheriff’s Department accident re-constructionists were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
