Seymour man faces felony charge for impersonating a police officer

SEYMOUR, Ind. (December 5, 2015) — A Seymour man is facing a felony charge for impersonating a police officer.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested Caleb C. Schryer, 20, Saturday night.  According to police, Schryer was using red and blue flashing lights that were mounted to his car’s headlights.  He was operating the lights from an app on his cell phone.

He was spotted using the flashing lights in the parking lot of Seymour High School and on Community Drive in Seymour.

He even went as far as showing off his modifications to an off-duty reserve officer for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in the high school parking lot.

Schryer was later arrested for impersonating a public official/law enforcement officer, a level 6 felony.

Schryer is being held without bond in the Jackson County jail.
