INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 3, 2015)– Marion County Republican Party Chairman Kyle Walker issued a statement saying he will resign his position.

Walker called for a caucus on December 15 to elect his successor.

In his statement he discussed successes the party had during his time as chairman, including Mayor Ballard’s re-election and seeing more women in leadership positions within the party.

“Serving as Chairman for the last five years has been an honor. The Marion County Republican Party is full of great people and I’m humbled and grateful for your generosity and support,” Walker said.

After his successor is named at the caucus, Walker’s resignation will be finalized.
