This has been a windy, wet day with up to a half-inch of rain.The rain is moving out of the state but the gusty winds will linger through Thursday. We'll have two sunny, dry days before the possibility for a rain/ snow mix arrives Saturday, followed by the coldest air of the season so far on Sunday.

Wind gusts over 40 miles per hour were common on Wednesday.


Some parts of the state recorded heavy rain.
