(Nov. 18, 2015) – For the last four years, Barbie sales have been down.
Now, Mattel is trying a new approach by featuring a boy in a new Barbie commercial. The commercial is centered around the limited edition Moschino Barbie. Moschino is a fashion brand, and the boy in the Barbie commercial bears more than a passing resemblance to the company’s creative director.
The $150 limited edition Barbie has already sold out, by the way. This is the first time a boy has been featured in a Barbie commercial.
