INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 13, 2015) — The largest pet trade show in the state opens this weekend. You can see cats, dogs, even goats and lamas at “The Great Indy Pet Expo.” There’s more than 100 booths along with stunt dog shows, celebrity trainers and plenty of adoptable animals. This year, groomers are teaming-up for a friendly competition to help more rescue dogs find forever homes.
“It’s a huge grooming competition, the only one in the state of Indiana, 26 competitors doing everything from creative, to rescue round up where we take the adoptable dogs and spiff them up for their new homes,” said event organizer Cathy Erickson.
Experts from Platinum Paws in Carmel helped show-off the concept on the CBS4 morning show:
You also have the chance to meet celebrity dog trainer and author Joel Silverman during the expo. He’s trained animals for Hollywood films and TV – you might’ve seen him recently in the Chase Bank commercials.
