Services to be held Sunday for Amanda Blackburn, pregnant mom killed in home robbery

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 13, 2015)– A celebration service will be held Sunday for a 28-year-old woman who was killed Tuesday in a home robbery.

Amanda Blackburn, 28, was shot after intruders entered her home in the 2800 block of Sunnyfield Court. She was pronounced deceased Thursday.

Blackburn was pregnant when she was killed. According to Blackburn’s obituary, she and her husband, Davey, named their unborn daughter Everett “Evie” Grace Blackburn.

At a press conference Friday, top Indianapolis officials urged the public to help them find those responsible for the violent crime.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held Sunday, Nov. 15 at Trader’s Point Christian Church in Whitestown at 5 p.m. Visitation will immediately follow the ceremony.
