Accidentally shrink your clothes in the wash? ‘Unshrinkit’ aims to fix the problem

(Nov. 12, 2015) – You’ve probably been in this situation before: you take your clothes out of the washer or dryer only to discover they’ve shrunk.

You feel powerless; there’s nothing you can do to fix it.

A startup company wants to change that with a product called “Unshrinkit.” The creators say it can restore sweaters to their original size. All you have to do is soak your clothes in the mixture for about 30 minutes. After that, rinse it under cold water and then stretch it back to the right size.

Right now, the product only works on wool—which means it would be perfect for restoring that holiday sweater. The creators are working on adapting it for other materials, including cotton and denim.
