Person killed in hit-and-run on the south side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 8, 2015) — Police are searching for a suspect following a fatal hit-and-run on the city’s south side early Sunday morning.

The accident happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 3900 block of east Sumner Avenue.

The victim was later identified as Roy Shelton, 23.

Police are still searching for the driver responsible for causing the accident. They believe either a green 1991-1994 Ford Explorer SUV or a green 1989-1992 Ford Ranger Pickup was involved in the accident.

The vehicle will have moderate damage to the front passenger side.
