ANN ARBOR, MI (October 18, 2015) – A dramatic finish at the Michigan-Michigan State game Saturday turned into a life-threatening experience for one fan.

University of Michigan public information officer Diane Brown confirmed to CBS Detroit that one person who attended the game suffered a heart attack following the last play. That person was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital.

“We did have one heart attack at the end of the game in the stadium. Emergency medical personnel got to that person right away and were able to take that person to the University of Michigan emergency department for further treatment,” Brown told CBS Detroit. There is no word on the person’s condition.

It looked like the Wolverines were going to beat the Spartans. They were ahead 23-21 with 10 seconds left in the game. But the Michigan punter bobbled the snap. He was hit, and the ball was knocked free, allowing the Spartans to catch it and run it into the end zone.
