Greenwood father pleads guilty to killing his two-month-old son
GREENWOOD, Ind. (Oct. 15, 2015) — A Greenwood man pleaded guilty to killing his two-month-old son.
Ian Defenderfer, 20, was arrested in October 2014 and charged with felony counts of aggravated battery and battery resulting in death.
The 2-month-old boy died on October 3 of blunt force trauma to the head. According to court records, Defenderfer told police he shook his son.
On Thursday, Defenderfer pleaded guilty to battery on a child resulting in death, a level 2 felony. His sentencing is set for January 28, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
