Indiana Fever win Game 1 of WNBA Finals, beat Minnesota Lynx 75-69

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (October 4, 2015) — The Indiana Fever beat the favored Minnesota Lynx Sunday in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Briann January led the Fever in scoring with 19 points in 36 minutes of playing time.

Marissa Coleman, Tamika Catchings, and Shenise Johnson helped January by also scoring in the double digits.

Minnesota’s Maya Moore also had a stand-out game with 27 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Lynx to get a victory. The Fever won, 75-69.

The WNBA Finals matchup between the Fever and the Lynx is a rematch of the 2012 series won by Indiana.

Game 2 of the Finals is Tuesday on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.
