INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 2, 2015) — Crews have finished work on the roof at Lucas Oil Stadium and officials with the Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority say it’s ready for Sunday’s Colts game.

Engineers certified that the roof is “suitable to operate without restrictions.” A structural bolt fell from the roof in early September, injuring fans. Engineers and contractors inspected the roof and made repairs.

Engineers that looked into the issue said the bolt that fell was not tightened properly. Seven other bolts were also loose. All eighteen connections have since been checked and showed no signs of defects.

Crews replaced the bolts with a new system of washers, longer bolts and double nuts. All necessary repairs and tests have been completed.

The Indianapolis Colts host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game airs on CBS4.
