One person dead, 23 injuries reported after I-69 crash in Gibson County

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (Sept. 24, 2015)– Indiana State police and the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department are at the scene of a fatal crash on I-69 southbound, just north of State Road 168. Both lanes were closed, but have since reopened.

State Police said one person died in the crash and 23 were injured.

One passenger van was involved in the crash. The van rolled over after blowing a front tire. The van was coming from Washington, IN and heading to a factory in Evansville.

The driver has been given a test for drugs and alcohol. At this time investigators do not believe the driver was impaired.
