How to keep kids safe online?

BEECH GROVE, Ind. (September 23,2015)-The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office is teaching parents how to keep children safe online.

Wednesday, September 23 a representative from the prosecutor’s office will lead a one-hour long “Project Cybersafe” workshop.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • How parents can prevent children for engaging in violent online behavior
  • What to look for when it comes to cyber-bullying
  • The legality of obtaining private information from a person’s Facebook or email account

Recent local cases involving young people will be used as examples to help illustrate the points above.

The workshop starts at seven Wednesday evening at the Beech Grove Community Center (5245 Hornet Avenue).

There is no cost to attend.
