JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. (September 9, 2015) – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help gathering information about a residential burglary.

Officers responded to a home in Trafalgar around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a burglary.

The homeowner told officers that when he returned home from work his front door was wide open and the lights were on.

It was discovered that the suspects entered the home by kicking the garage service door in.

Many items had been rummaged through and moved around the house and left in different places.

The suspects took the homeowner’s 60’ Samsung smart TV, a laptop, speakers, and a jewelry box containing various pieces.

In total, $7000 worth of items was taken from the home.

Additionally, keys were taken from a key rack and it appears that the suspects attempted to see if any of those keys would open the gun safe.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office at (317) 736-5155.
