INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 5, 2015)–Several shootings kept Indianapolis Metropolitan Police busy Saturday afternoon and evening.
At 2:35 p.m. police were notified by Community Hospital North of a person who showed up at their facility with a gunshot wound to the foot. 27-year-old Christopher Mackin was reported to be stable with a non-life threatening wound.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. police responded to a business robbery near West 38th Street and Georgetown Road. A female employee of Obadiah’s Smoke Shop was shot in the thigh during the robbery. She was in good condition at IU Health Methodist Hospital. The shooter ran off.
At 4:42 p.m. Police were once again called to a report of a person shot. This time it was on the city’s east side near East 16th Street and North Arlington Ave. The victim was taken to the hospital in good condition.
At 7:22 p.m. police and ambulance were on their way to the 5500 block of East 38th Street. Metro Police say the victim in that incident was shot in the knee.
