Baby’s death leads to arrest

FRANKLIN, Ind. (Sept. 5, 2015)–A Franklin man is under arrest following the death of a 7-month-old girl on Thursday.

Franklin Police and emergency personnel were called to the Franklin Cove Apartments on a report of an unresponsive 7-month-old.

The baby was taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy conducted on Friday determined the 7-month-old suffered a skull fracture.

Franklin Police interviewed and later arrested Christopher Michael Potts for battery causing death.

Potts is being held in the Johnson county Jail with bond set at $30,000.
