Columbus man arrested after argument with newspaper delivery driver leads to gunfire
COLUMBUS, Ind. (Sept. 4, 2015) – Police arrested a Columbus man Friday morning after he fired a gun during an argument with a newspaper delivery driver.
Around 7 a.m., Columbus police spoke to the delivery driver, who said he was involved in an argument with Curtis Mason, 28, in the 1900 block of Gilmore Street. According to police, the argument stemmed from a dispute about whether the driver ran a stop sign.
During the argument, the delivery driver said Mason pulled out a handgun and fire it once into the front yard.
Mason was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of pointing a loaded firearm and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
