Driver takes off during traffic stop, leads police on chase that ends on north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 31, 2015) – A police chase ended on the north side of Indianapolis early Monday morning with one person in custody.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, officers tried to make a traffic stop near IUPUI. The car didn’t pull over and the pursuit began.

The chase proceeded to the west side, where an officer was involved in a minor crash in the 5900 block of Crawfordsville Road. The pursuit ended on the north side at 49th and Meridian.

Police took the suspect into custody. No one was hurt during the incident.
